Our office is dedicated to helping patients who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders. Many patients require an alternative to CPAP or surgery, and a comfortable custom made dental appliance can be the solution.
If this is your first visit with the health care provider regarding your sleep issues, we will discuss your symptoms and assess the possibility of obstructive sleep apnea. We will use self-questionnaires, physical exam, and polysomnography from a sleep doctor to determine if a dental appliance might be right for you.
If a physician has already made the diagnosis of a sleep disorder such as snoring or obstructive sleep apnea, we will get a brief medical history and begin the process of making an appliance. To complete the process and get medical insurance coverage, we will need a prescription from your physician.
Most medical insurances now have coverage for oral appliance therapy. Our office will be happy to obtain the necessary documents from your sleep doctor and medical insurance to facilitate the process, including preauthorizing for medical coverage.
Ultimately, our goal is to improve your health and quality of life by eliminating your snoring or obstructive sleep apnea with a comfortable dental appliance. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thank you for consulting Dental Center for Snoring & Sleep Apnea regarding your sleep related breathing issues.
